Wednesday - had a really great workout actually. 30 minutes (just over a mile) on the elliptical followed by 15 minute walk on the treadmill at a 3 degree incline for a mile. Now here's where I started to slip. I was feeling that high right after exercising and it kept it going when I got home. I cleaned and organized my apartment and even gave the dog a bath but then I decided I could treat myself to a glass of wine...well that turned into 3 and needless to say I was a little groggy the next morning.
Thursday - Didn't start off great....Got called into the AED's office and found out that I didn't get a promotion I had recently applied for....this was for my dream job. I knew it was a long shot because I don't have a full season under my belt but I thought my past experience would make up for it. I was truly disappointed. Thursday night ended with a meeting where I didn't get home to 8:30 and led to me having some more wine. Yes I know....bad bad bad.
Friday - took a day off from everything. no drinking and no working out. i was ready to get up saturday and start it off strong.
Saturday - Woke up feeling great and refreshed. I tackled a 2 mile run today and I did pretty well. It was about 50 degrees when I went out and my body wasn't used to running in weather that cold. The run took me just under 25 minutes. Not too bad and I did run about 90% of it.
Sunday - Did another 2 mile walk/run today with the pup. This was mostly a walk but did get some good intervals in between chloe peeing and sniffing stuff :)
Monday - Legs are actually feeling sore today (which I love). Just did a mile walk to take it easy. Also got my weight training in as well.
Headed to tally tomorrow for the night. I'm really hoping to squeeze in a workout because I know I'm getting back late on Wednesday.
My goal is to try 3 miles this weekend. My biggest challenge right now is endurance. My legs don't feel tired....I just cramp up and feel short on air. Also, I find that I get bored running and if I can walk almost as fast as I run....what's the point??
I had recently applied for a promotion at work and found out on Thursday that I did not get it.
